We are in full season of beach & fun & sunshine, with the holidays that are knocking on the door and I miss…the magnificent Mediterranean. I haven’t yet decided where I will go this time but I want to remember the most beautiful & cool spots from the big sea, perhaps I can inspire you. We have 9 "guilty" ones, 9 magical places, all on the eternal and fascinating Mediterranean coast, each with its grace and typical beauties. Let's see:

  1. Positano and Amalfi Coast - or where you can create your own film scene, with prosecco and fresh lemon fragrance included, with a drop (or more) of glitz and glam; they are definitely some of the most beautiful pieces that have seen on Earth. Positano is undoubtedly the most wow of the wonderful villages in the area, a kind of protagonist of the Italian film à la Sophia Loren, where the dusty pink and the terracotta shades of picturesque houses dominate among the hotels, bars and restaurants. Colored rec: Le Sirenuse.

  2. We started with Italy, we continue with Italy ... Capri is its name, the star island and preferred by celebs all over the world, of all times, and not only. Her charm as well as of the unique limoncello are enchanting every person who passes and will always remain in your soul. Faraglioni, nature, legendary waters and grottoes, designer boutiques alongside luxury restaurants, its an extravaganza that is well worth the 2nd place in the top. Colored rec: Grotta Azzura.

3.We go down a bit and we get to Santorini or the absolute white. The white of the famous houses that is perfectly matching with the idyllic silence, but also with the romantic beaches and sunsets. A pure Paradise dotted with blue, seductive and traditional blue hues, simple and effective, with attractive tavernas and incredible panoramas. Colored rec: Oia.

4.The more noisy and fancy of sister of Santorini is - you guessed - Mykonos, or in other words the Greek Ibiza. Clubs, beach clubs, bars and restaurants are competing in fun, good food, delicious cocktails & drinks, all in a calculated frenzy (yes, you've heard well), as the relaxed mornings in Chora and Little Venice combine perfectly with the agitated evenings and nights. Colored rec: Scorpios.

5. Formenterathe smaller the better. A jet set destination ever since the 1960s, it’s where you can party, rest, enjoy the nature, and eat well, all in one place. Somehow tranquil and fun at the same time, it is famous for the superb calas and beautiful beaches, but be careful, in summer it’s more and more crowded, being often preferred by instead of Ibiza. Colored rec: Cala des Mort.

6. And now that I’ve mentioned it, next one is HER, the one I have visited so many times over the years and that never disappointed me. I admit I am forever in love with the Spanish islands, but Ibiza was somehow a first love that you never forget and that surprises me with every year. Ibiza is for party people, but also for escapades in two, it's for beach club lovers, beaches of all kinds, hippie vibe combined with glamour, it’s a kind of island of Happiness. Colored rec: Ushuaïa.

7. The French “je ne sais quoi" and the Côte d'Azur. Many discrete, chic, mignon and fa-bu-los villages. everything is adorable here, and the gastronomy - one of the best in the world. The superlative of France, in my opinion, in terms of rural beauty, the Cote d'Azur is splendid. Alain Ducasse, Pablo Picasso, Süskind, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Abramovich, Webber, are just a few names that link to these lands, and I find it very hard to choose between Èze, St. Paul de Vence, Gourdon, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Châteauneuf-sur-Grasse etc ... Colored rec: Château de la Chèvre d'Or.

8. One new holiday destination but not less authentic and attractive is Hvar the one full of lavender, figs, yummy wine and fresh fish. You have beach, fairylike views, intimate and cute places but also fun if you want, so perfect! Colored rec: Fortica Fortress, for the sunset.

9. And because I liked Croatia and it surprised me more than I expected Rovinj is the last but obviously not the least (on the color list). Rovinj is extremely picturesque with beach clubs and super cool bars, with villages surrounded by cobblestone streets, that host art galleries and cafes and nice evenings with food and good drinks. Colored Rec: St. Katarina.
